The Recruitment Committee is primarily responsible for recruiting and retaining dancers for Dance Marathon, as well as maintaining a high level of morale leading up to Dance Marathon and throughout the year. These are the CRAZY fun people who keep everyone in high spirits and on their feet on the day of! They love to get painted head to toe in teal paint and get Dance Marathon’s name out in the Ames community. Morale Captains are the liaison between their team and Dance Marathon. The captains help them throughout the year with fundraising as well as on the day of. Two co-directors lead the committee with the help of several super captains. Each super captain has a number of morale captains that they supervise and guide throughout the year. Morale Captains are paired together to create their own team throughout the year to work together to recruit dancers. Most importantly, these ecstatic recruitment and morale team members LOVE to do the morale dance all over! The morale dance is a dance that dancers, families, and committee members do on the day of every hour on the hour. It is comprised of fun songs and silly dance moves to get everyone pumped up for the next hour! Lastly- THEY LOVE DM!!! |
